Using the Control Freak VST 5 profiles with Cubase SX
-----------------------------------------------------

Cubase SX Generic Remote operation is *VERY* similar but not identical
to that of Cubase VST 5.x

The existing Control Freak SE profiles for it DO work, however some
modification to the "Generic Remote" XML file was needed to ensure the
operation of the MIDI mixer functionality.

The supplied Function Key Control continues to work for switching
between Generic Remote Control Profiles in SX.

Midi Mixer functionality is as previously and has been setup/tested to
work as follows:

Midi Volumes Channels 1-16
Midi Pans Channels 1-16
Midi Mutes Channels 1-16
Midi Solos Channels 1-16

Main Mixer AUDIO sliders *ALSO* control VST Instrument Audio sliders
AND Group Audio tracks. They simply appear as "normal" audio tracks as
far as the "VST/SX Mixer" are concerned. It does not appear possible to
split Group Audio tracks to a separate Generic Remote Profile; as such
the Group Audio mixer profile has been removed for simplicity.

Cubase SX has a unified Mixing Console in which Audio and MIDI tracks
can appear alongside each other (left-right) depending on the order of
these tracks in the current project (top-bottom). It should be noted
that SX also allows you to show/hide mixer track types.

As such, it may *appear* that consecutive Control Freak sliders do not
control consecutive screen sliders but this is not the case. The user
may simply need to switch between Audio and MIDI mixer profiles in order
to acheive the correct control. This is a Steinberg design issue and
cannot be changed in any way.
